Showing @ Kwench Juice in Campbell!

It is with great excitement and serendipity that I've come into the honor of being the first artist to show at in Campbell. There are possibilities to be part of their artwalk downtown, which I have never done before! My little bird bones quiver with anticipation of flapping these artist wings and taking to the SKY!! :) As a side note of trivia, two of the largest pieces to date are featured in their downtown location @ 428 E Campbell Ave

explorations

Practicing a bit of beehive texture from some apparently freaky bees. Ultimately these are potential backgrounds for the final project in a class by Lisa Cyr. Pan pastel, On paper.

mood board.

I keep thinking its called a "memory board". could be a :dream" board or some complicated non verbal story from my subconscious self to my conscious self. Anyway here is the new ponder plate. First time of setting one up with a particular ending piece.

color wheeling

Getting used to some new paints. These are Da Vinci Oils recommended by teacher Ron Lemen. Love these paints, so creamy and pleasant.

a horse goes swimming

Not really done. Experimenting with gel to create textures.

pastel lotus horse

This one is not quite with us anymore. In a notion to seal the pastels in, I foolishly began to drizzle gel medium on the piece thinking the gel would just sort of sit nicely on top of the pastel and then glue it all down once it was gingerly spread across the panel. That did happen. I would show you what did happen but it is somewhat obscene. If the piece is salvageable it will be reworked and then update on its recovery shall become available. Plan B is to re-do the whole thing over.
